I can never forget the trip I and my dearest Friend Hariz went. Oh is a unforgettable moment. The trip is back and is time to head off to see our dearest home stay family in KL and Pahang. Oh I am very excited but also rushing. I am a men of my word that I have promise the family that I would visit you guy before I serve the NS. My host mum in Pahang is excited and happy. I hope you guy the Singapore participants from MSYC; I encourage you to visit your family in Pahang. They really want to see you…

Wakeboarding & Birthday

First thing first, I just wanna thanks Dennis that he let me try one of his water sport activity that is wakeboarding at Punggol Marine Country Club. When we reach at Punggol. The place just look like a desert. Hahaha… But I and Dennis got trouble finding the shuttle bus. There is a free shuttle bus to the Country club but we just could not find it. Finally we ask a few passers by and we expected how the bus would be like. Ummm, it a van I think. So we took a small miniature van all the way in the forest to the North East coast line of Punggol end. Finally our boat is at Pier 4. So we had a two beautiful female wake boarder instructor but I forgot their name. Oh Uncle Jason forget name easily…So out to the ocean and in the channel of another side of Punggol. Dennis wake board first and I see how he wake boarding. The weather is perfect. Cloudy and sunny and is a good day to hit the water. But I did not expect to hit the water Because Dennis and the instructor force me to wake board. I am just uncomfortable in deep water because I cant swim. Anyway I go in the water with out the board because I wanna get comfortable with the water first. I brave enough to jump and found myself panic in the water. But I listen the instructor which she told me to relax. So I just relax and I float in the water. So after getting comfortable with the water, now is the board. I not use in L position in the water lei… So anyway I tried and she ask me to squad by my bum all the way as close as the board. So I listen and she compliment me saying that a very nice position Jason now all you do is relax. So I said okay and she ask me am I ready and I give a green light. The boat start to move as I holding the handle, I can feel the powerful force from the boat pulling me. It goes very fast and I a little bit panic but I manage to survive for a few second before not long I hit the water. But she told me not bad for a first timer for me and she said I could wakeboard because I have naturally a nice position when come to wake board. Hmmm, I don’t know but I just uncomfortable with wakeboarding. But thank Dennis…

I got to go woodland again and meet Ravin. I almost late by reaching Woodland. Anyway I make it online and we off to East Coast Park to see our dearest neighbour birthday party who just reach 1 year old. We took train all the way down to Paya Lebah. Ravin and I making fun of other people who ever in the train. It fun la to go out with him. Anyway we reach and took bus 24. Finally a little bit of walk and we reach the pit. It just rain but the sun begins to rise. So the family saw us and we gave them red packet… Hahaha… So they all sang a Birthday song and sabotage each other by putting each other the cream from the birthday cake. Anyway I am just tired and I am glad that I make use of a day today.

My Family In Thailand...

As I was traveling more than 980km per hour, temperature outside below 58 degree Celsius, Wind speed 58 to 60km per hour for tail wing and head wing that is 30km per hour and that spell out turbulence. It kind of rough ride as I was on the way to Bangkok, Thailand that is 1416km away from Singapore. Yes, I can’t wait to see my family. Even it is rough but it was a very fast flight to Bangkok. It took not more than 1 Hour and 45minutes and soon you reach this wonderful city of Bangkok. Cathay Pacific is quite a good flight to tell you the truth. It is cheap. $240 goes and come back including all taxes. Arrive Bangkok and finally saw the family. They shock to see me realize that how times flies and how big and tall I am. They were very happy. They finally met me and I finally met them. Talking about family in Thailand is quite complicated my family tree from Thailand. It seems in Singapore, I am the eldest cousin but not in Thailand I am the youngest. One of the very youngest. Mum sisters and brothers came to the Airport and that related to them as Uncle and Aunty. But my mum eldest sister died and left 6 includes my mum. Off to the temple and the temperature was 32 degree Celsius. It was sunny and a beautiful day to start the first trip in Bangkok, Thailand.

Day 1 – Off To The Temple
It took 45 minutes journey to the temple that is not far from the airport. But my actual place I am staying took more than 2 hours and it close to the old airport that Don Muang used to be an International Air hub for Bangkok. So they all speak in Thai and I was just like a blur sotong. Anyway we reach the temple and saw my aunty and I grew silence as my mum tear begun to roll down. A, 5 minuets sounded like a 30 minuets of happiest memories of her flashing picture of picture in 98 frames per second. I just imagined that what most possibilities happen in my mum mind. Just a five minuets of silence! Me? I was eating… Hahaha… So they hired a funeral performance and a funeral band to play some musical instrument for my aunt. Day 2 – Thai Food
In Buddhist you can leave the body up to 100days. But we decide to keep it for 3 days before we put her in inclinator. So off we go for the second day and they do a little bit of WET Market shopping. Oh gosh their shopping I just don’t know what to say… Dried fish to fresh fish… Vegetables! Lot of different type of vegetable… Spices and chilies. Many type of chilies. Their Market is just huge and is compare nothing to Singapore Market. But I just love their coffee. Crush Icy Coffee. It is just simply delicious. Best coffee I ever tasted so far. Simple yet tasty. I like to try all type of food and love to visit their night market…

Day 3 – The Departure…

Is a ritual that the funeral band is gonna play 1 hour straight. I can see the band member dead tired. Yes, today is the last day of my aunt before they burn her body to ashes. Some of my cousin and aunt who close to her started to cry. There are lot of people. Around 200 people came to see the last of her face. A tradition, they gave each of us paper white flower. But underneath her casket and knock the casket, 3 times by wishing her that hope she rest in peace and enter into heaven. After every single person pay her respect, they open the casket. I wanna see her face but I have a feeling not to see her. They broke the coconut just above her head and pour the coconut juice all over her body. It time to put her in the inclinator…

Day 4 To Day 5 – Nakon Sawan
It is out of Bangkok. 250 km away from Bangkok and there is this village called Nakon Sawan. My grand dad village, where he uses to stayed in those olden days. I used to remember there is a pig farm all that but now is a deserted house where only my grand uncle stayed there. But we were going to the temple to see their monk to get lucky amulet for my step Dad Italian restaurant. So is a long journey until came a police where it block the highway. So we took a detour. After passing by a town back to the high way. I realize that there is a riot. The farmers were angry and they block the entire highway. Due to economic crises, the government bought their rice in unreasonable cheap price and sold it expensive to the public such as supermarket to grocery stall. Everything when haywire. I was a bit scared because I could saw the riot. This is the second time I saw riot while the first time I still could remember in Philippines. So we reached there at 4pm in the temple in Nakon Sawan. So I felt bored and took some photo shot of the temple and the Buddha statues. My uncle kept on complains that he felt the pain so the monk gave him a blessing in a ritual way. After everything done by 7pm, we heading back to Bangkok. As we on the way back, back to the detour. But I was surprise this time it was a short detour. So reach Bangkok by 11pm. I just felt tired and I wanna go back to sleep.My mum scared to sleep alone so she called me to join her. She so scared that she ask me to follow her go to the bathroom. There is something strange of her. Why she scared? Is her own house in those old day. Hmmm…..

Day 6 – Shopping Is A Must…

I went to this newly build mall that is called Fashion Island. Nice name ah… Hahaha… I shop and bought a shoe. Than as usual my mum shops too. So we bought a few stuffs. Hmmm, I want to see a few stuffs but my mum and cousin goes to the bra shop. So boring. Hmmm, see la I cant shop on my own…

Day 7 – A Final Goodbye And Conclusion

I left the house at 10am. Reach the airport 12 noon. It is 2 hours journey. I very tired I slept in the car. But when
reach there one thing I know is I am sure gonna miss my family and the beauty of Thailand. I wanna stay there… Haha… I every country also wanna stay. Our flight is 1245pm. Bored the plane and off to Singapore. 20 min later Phuket passing by than another 30 min later Taman Negara passing by (remind me of the MSYC. Wonder how you guy doing?) Than 30 min passing by KL (I miss all my dearest friend in KL) than reach Singapore.

Is all passing by very fast…But there on thing I am glad I came this trip with my mum and this what I observe:

Yes, Indeed my aunt died but a new life born as one of my cousin just gave birth.

My cousin, son birthday and I get to see all my other cousin family.

Also seeing their wonderful cultural in Nakon Sawan.

I just gald that God plan this trip for me to observe and doing reflection for this trip.

I just really miss my family in Thailand…

Time Is Almost Up...

Oh No!!! My time is almost up in this paradise country that is Thailand, Bangkok. I just gonna miss my family here and when I return back to Singapore, I dont care I die die wanna learn Thai. So sad. Icant communicate with my cousin, Uncle and Aunt. I really got to speak Thai. It is not hard actually. What make it easy is that they do not have grammer and all the past tense or future tense or what ever shit it is singular or not.

Anyway, sorry guy I dont really bought many gift. Yup, not many gift... Not much shopping either. Temple always. I have gian weight because I just enjoy ther food there. Anyway going back soon this Friday. Reach singapore around 4pm. Upload picture in blog and Facebook. Friendster outdated lei...

I just gonna miss the people here in Thailand. Is time to serve my NS...

Just A Phone Call Away From Thailand...

This post dedicate to my mum eldest sister who died. Now she died peacefully and no longer suffers in the world full of suffering. She went into a land of peaceful. Some say a land of paradise. Some say heaven. Some say another world full of wonderful thing.

My mum called me today (12 Feb Thursday 2009, Today) and ask me to accompany her to Bangkok, Thailand. We book today. Leave tomorrow. She used to take care of me when I was young in Thailand. Is time I go there and see the last of her. So we book a flight at Golden Mine Complex. Book a flight that is Cathay Pacific, Terminal 1 and Departure at 1355. I was thinking of getting as many photo as possible with my family in Thailand. There is one cousin name Joe who looks exactly like me. Twin… Haha… Lot of photo will soon arrive in Facebook. Anyway I would stay there for a week. It seem God plan is visit my family in Thailand before I serve NS…
