The Robbery

During a robbery in Guangzhou, China, the bank robber shouted to everyone in the bank: "Don't move. The money belongs to the State. Your life belongs to you."

Everyone in the bank laid down quietly. This is called "Mind Changing Concept” Changing the conventional way of thinking.

When a lady lay on the table provocatively, the robber shouted at her: "Please be civilized! This is a robbery and not a rape!"

This is called "Being Professional” Focus only on what you are trained to do!

When the bank robbers returned home, the younger robber (MBA-trained) told the older robber (who has only completed Year 6 in primary school): "Big brother, let's count how much we got."

The older robber rebutted and said: "You are very stupid. There is so much money it will take us a long time to count. Tonight, the TV news will tell us how much we robbed from the bank!"

This is called "Experience.” Nowadays, experience is more important than paper qualifications!

After the robbers had left, the bank manager told the bank supervisor to call the police quickly. But the supervisor said to him: "Wait! Let us take out $10 million from the bank for ourselves and add it to the $70 million that we have previously embezzled from the bank”.

This is called "Swim with the tide.” Converting an unfavorable situation to your advantage!

The supervisor says: "It will be good if there is a robbery every month."

This is called "Killing Boredom.” Personal Happiness is more important than your job.

The next day, the TV news reported that $100 million was taken from the bank. The robbers counted and counted and counted, but they could only count $20 million. The robbers were very angry and complained: "We risked our lives and only took $20 million. The bank manager took $80 million with a snap of his fingers. It looks like it is better to be educated than to be a thief!"

This is called "Knowledge is worth as much as gold!"

The bank manager was smiling and happy because his losses in the share market are now covered by this robbery.

This is called "Seizing the opportunity.” Daring to take risks!

So who are the real robbers here?

You Don't Feel Eleven

What they don't understand about birthdays and what they never tell you is that when you're eleven, you're also ten, and nine, and eight, and seven, and six, and five, and four, and three, and two, and one. And when you wake up on your eleventh birthday you expect to feel eleven, but you don't. You open your eyes and everything's just like yesterday, only it's today. And you don't feel eleven at all. You feel like you're still ten. And you are - underneath the year that makes you eleven.

Like some days you might say something stupid, and that's the part of you that;s still ten. Or maybe some days you might need to sit on mama's lap because you're scared, and that's the part of you that's five. And maybe one day when you're all grown up maybe you will need to cry like if you're three, and that's okay. That's what I tell Mama when she's sad and needs to cry. Maybe she's feeling three.

Because the way you grow old is kind of like an onion or like the rings inside a tree trunk or like my little wooden dolls that fit one inside the other, each year inside the next one. That's how begin eleven years old is.

You don't feel eleven. Not right away. It takes a few days, weeks even, sometime even months before you say Eleven when they ask you. And you don't feel smart eleven, not until you're almost twelve. That's the way it is.

The Bazzar

Went with Faz to the bazaar to try and look all type of food if there is anything. But this year I saw two new finger food.

Above picture: The mini vadai. They have all sort of variety and is only cost $2 for 10 pieces. They have chilie, veggie, seafood, meat and I forgot what are the other stuff.

Below picture: The famous Ramli burger. It cost $3 and the choice of petty is either chicken or beef. Also added with chili and/or BBQ sauce.

Finally per 100gram of miniature fried crab is recent new. Since I hardly visit the Bazzar like a year or two, the crab is something new. But the shell can be a little annoying.

Reflector Memento

The love is like a source of life.
Without love, what you observe everything around is lifeless and dead.

Be it parental love, friend love, bestie love or the romance love but this source of energy is highly positive mentality nutrition.

If you saw someone who is down or symptom of lacking love, give them a little of your care and concern (which is also the equation of love) and don't be surprise that how much you put a smile on the person.

Just Be There

A nurse took the tired, anxious serviceman to the bedside. “Your son is here,” she said to the old man. She had to repeat the words several times before the patient’s eyes opened.

Heavily sedated because of the pain of his heart attack, he... dimly saw the young uniformed Marine standing outside the oxygen tent. He reached out his hand. The Marine wrapped his toughened fingers around the old man’s limp ones, squeezing a message of love and encouragement.

The nurse brought a chair so that the Marine could sit beside the bed. All through the night the young Marine sat there in the poorly lighted ward, holding the old man’s hand and offering him words of love and strength. Occasionally, the nurse suggested that the Marine move away and rest awhile. He refused.

Whenever the nurse came into the ward, the Marine was oblivious of her and of the night noises of the hospital - the clanking of the oxygen tank, the laughter of the night staff members exchanging greetings, the cries and moans of the other patients. Now and then she heard him say a few gentle words. The dying man said nothing, only held tightly to his son all through the night.

Along towards dawn, the old man died. The Marine released the now lifeless hand he had been holding and went to tell the nurse. While she did what she had to do, he waited.

Finally, she returned. She started to offer words of sympathy, but the Marine interrupted her, “Who was that man?” he asked.

The nurse was startled, “He was your father,” she answered.

“No, he wasn’t,” the Marine replied. “I never saw him before in my life.”

“Then why didn’t you say something when I took you to him?”

“I knew right away there had been a mistake, but I also knew he needed his son, and his son just wasn’t here. When I realized that he was too sick to tell whether or not I was his son, knowing how much he needed me, I stayed. I came here tonight to find a Mr. William Grey. His Son was killed in Iraq today, and I was sent to inform him. What was this Gentleman’s Name? “

The nurse with tears in her eyes answered, “Mr. William Grey………”

The next time someone needs you … just be there.

The Bukit Bintan Studio Suite

We took a flight around 1500 at Changi Airport Terminal 1. I met Faz at his home and off with a cab to the airport. But anyway is been sometime that I took a flight to Kuala Lumpur. The first flight toward KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport at Malaysia) that is 1994 just to go Genting together with my family. Here are the photo of me at Genting which is my first time entering the amusement park high up in the cloud.

The second time is together with my friend at 2001. Went for a shopping spree at BB Plaza.

The third time is just a week ago on the 12th of July 2013. So head toward there and just a 35min flight in Jetstar Asia.

Arrive and I hate the Aerotrain. Is like in case of emergency or in the hurry you only can rely on the train. Anyway took an express train and reach the city area. The KLIA express train ride that cost RM35 is only 30 min ride. But the trip is calm and went through all the plantation.

Reach KL Sentral and it begin to rain. I remember that there is a monorail but ended up took a cab because it start to rain. 35RM just to go to Bukit Bintan. We check in at Park Royal Service Suite Hotel and first time went into a studio suite that is a kitchen counter. Here are the preview of the room:

So when the night fall we went to KLCC just to took the Petronas Tower. So putting my face in there to prove that I am here. :P Anyway we went grocery shopping at Pavilion. Plus the movie, Pacific Rim which was an awesome movie. Also went to play bowling at Berjaya Time Square. But sadly got to fly back to Singapore. We went to see Terminal 3 at Changi Airport for a free movie. :D

The Farmer

There was a farmer in Africa who was happy and content. He was happy because he was content. He was content because he was happy. One day a wise man came to him and told him about the glory of diamonds and the power that goes along with them. The wise man said, “If you had a diamond the size of your thumb, you could have your own city. If you had a diamond the size of your fist, you could probably own your own country.” And then he went away.

That night the farmer couldn’t sleep. He was unhappy and he was discontent. He was unhappy because he was discontent and discontent because he was unhappy. The next morning he made arrangements to sell off his farm, took care of his family and went in search of diamonds.

He looked all over Africa and couldn’t find any. He looked all through Europe and couldn’t find any. When he got to Spain, he was emotionally, physically and financially broke. He got so disheartened that he threw himself into the Barcelona River and committed suicide.

Back home, the person who had bought his farm was watering the camels at a stream that ran through the farm. Across the stream, the rays of the morning sun hit a stone and made it sparkle like a rainbow. He thought it would look good on the mantle piece. He picked up the stone and put it in the living room. That afternoon the wise man came and saw the stone sparkling. He asked, “Is Hafiz back?” The new owner said, “No, why do you ask?” The wise man said, “Because that is a diamond. I recognize one when I see one.”

The man said, no, that’s just a stone I picked up from the stream. Come, I’ll show you. There are many more.” They went and picked some samples and sent them for analysis. Sure enough, the stones were diamonds. They found that the farm was indeed covered with acres and acres of diamonds.

When our attitude is right, we realize that we are all walking on acres and acres of diamonds. Opportunity is always under our feet. We don’t have to go anywhere. All we need to do is recognize it.
