| Today is the last day of 2007. Time flew by fast and I realise time wait for no one. Yes, today there no morning activities so we sleep all the way to noon. I woke up and check e-mail by usind ustad computer. The two boys, Hariz and Ustad sleep like crazy. They selpt till to 1pm plus. I dont know how they manage to sleep that long... Hahaha... So I ate my lunch. Than the guys woke up and taken their lunch. Later in the afternoon, like 4pm to 5pm we wanna go Jusco to shop to prepare a homestay gift for the family. So Ustad dad is home. Resting, due because he drive all long distance and tour me Malaysia for the past two days. He must be very tried. So it lunch time. After we ate lunch, in the room and wanna watch the show, I Am Legend... I think I have watch the third time. As along the show, I make plan with Ustad dad that later can he prodive us transport us to Jusco. Jusco is another shopping mall that is own by IOI. Jusco is just a department stall with in the shopping mall. It is close to Ustad house and they called it Harry Potter school. Hogward... Hahaha... Cause the shopping mall almost look like one. So around 4pm we get prepare and in the car off we went shopping... We have reach, but Usatd dad got something on so he got to go off. So he drew the map and his contact number on how to get back home. I tell him dont worry... We know how to get back. But having his contact number sure useful. So we buy all the gift include our friends in Singapore. RM100 gone. I got to ask my mum transfer $60 later. So we went to shop and I cant believe Hariz, I meant really shopping like those shoppingholic. Choose a ring also take so long... Aiyo... We went to A&W again to have our early lunch till to played bowling. Yes, I won against Hariz... I got 3 strike... Hahaha... He always win me in other stuff but not these time... Later Ustar called me and ask me where I am... I said we are at the Harry Potter School... Hahaha... So a 20 minutes of waiting, he came. We sat on his bike and ride us on the way home. I and Ustad buy some DVD show and top up my Malaysia prepaid RM5. And we went home... I have reach Ustad home and I saw Hariz and Harul waiting outside the house. We went in together and out again for Night Market. Beside their house, every Monday there is night market while unlike in Singapore is like once every 3 to 6 months one time. Their Night Market sure way different from Singapore. Especially the food. They also have wet market stall begin set up. Mutton to fish to chicken and vegetable to dried food. It seem not only the night market but really there is a market. We went back home and took a rest. Hariz wanna go new year, but I do not want cause I am tried. So I ask him go ahead but becareful ah... So off he went with Ustad friend that is Harul. Later 45 mintues to 2008, the family decide to go Hot spring tomorrow. So they wanna go Tesco and buy afew stuff there. But I have make a call to Singapore telling my Mum to transfer $60 to my account. Your ATM card can withdraw any where around the world with a symbol of Circus Or Maestro. So I get myself prepare and off to TESCO. I enjoy myself there cause there so many thing to look out for. Afew sms send to me by my malaysian friend saying happy new year and I realise it a stroke of midnight. Welcome 2008. So I went to find a ATM machine. I realise midnight, most ATM are closed or lock I guess. Only a guard standing outside, the ATM is still active. I went Standard Charted and I withdraw. It give me all RM10 note. I was laughing... But one thing is not funny is the service charge is high. It cost up to RM12. Stupid bank. Take money from me... So we went back home and watch the Brave One. Oh gosh! the show is damm nice, you guyz should watch by the way... |
KL Trip Day 5 - Everybody Wanna Go Shopping At Midnight...
KL Trip Day 4 - I Have Explore Up And Down Of Malaysia...
Travelling oversea with me, for those not morning person I got to warn you that there be morning activities that you got to wake up as early as 6am plus. These morning, I know Hariz cant wake up so I go with the family to the markey myself. So I woke up around 6.15am. They leaving their house at 6.45am so I got at least half an hour to bath cold water and get change. Money I used to check daily life so that I can know how long I can survive in KL... hahaha... So it time to see their pasar (Wet Market) and off I am in the car...
So we reach there and it was just a short journey. What I realsie that they seldom go market. So they usually buy a huge amounet to store their ration for a week or so. If not mak (mother) would go market by herself. So they really sell kampong chicken (100% fresh, no injection or whatever so) to normal chicken. Banana that is so huge that I have not seen before in Singapore. Cake and tibits to curry puff which is small but delicious to small cup cake. That is out of the fresh market. These time, his school is much more further than where school Su is that is at Pahang. His school is at Perak. Another an hour drive, Welcome To Thailand. Yes today I am going to the north of Malaysia. First time been much way further which I ever travel to Malaysia before. So I wake hariz up and he lazy to wake up and decide not to go... Fine for me, but I am going and I am not gonna miss these type of thing...
Nor is what I called the second eldest, has pack his bag and load into the car. I was reading the lastest reader digest on 2008. So early come out already. You guy should read. So I am in the car and 9am off KL and here we come, Perak. Yesterday, I have travel up to 500km at least. Today I might travel up to 600 to 700km at least. Ustad dad tried to drive as fast as posible. Through the landscape as I get to see marble from rocky mountain till to pineapple to rice padi field. It like a green desert all the way. It is a very long journey and I selp two times... There is only 1 pit stop. Yes, if you dont like begin in the car too long, this trip might not be a good idea too you... So we have reach Penanag. We went through the Penang Bridge. The longest bridge in Malaysia, might be posible south east asia too. The bridge is up to 7km. Many people, their main attraction is the ferry where it can transport car. So I tour Penang, our dear friend Alia hometown. Ustad dad wanna top up the gas again. Later we went to Giant at Perak. Nor hang out place where he used to be his friend on weekend. Yes, his school is close by. I went to buy sunglasses for Nor as the Homestay gift. Later I pass it to him. So I met them at KFC where we had our lunch. Their KFC in Malaysia got rice unlike Singapore, you just ate chicken. They bouth for Nor some school stuff such as school shoe to sock and tolitries item such as soap. I bought for Hariz a shirt for a Christmas gift. It never too late to buy for your friends christmas up to 12 days after 25 december.
So off to the school. We have reach. There is long queue for the registration. I realise they pay school fees and the dorm. We reach the school 4pm plus. 7 hours journey. I went to his dorm and it remind me of my old camp in those primary school days in the mid 90s. After a few photo shooting, I gave him a gift and I am glad he is happy. Yes, personal family time as how they used to give to Su. I tell him dont worry just study hard and enjoy your school times here...

So they are really focus when come to driving. We have reach and it was midnight. Yes, I am tried but I wanna play snooker with Hariz and Ustad. I met a new friend of Ustad that is Harul. He is a nice fellow but seem quiet leh... Hahaha...
So we play snooker and this is my first time. I am in the lossing end and my point is all negative. But at least I hit the most ball in the hole mah...

KL Trip Day 3 - The A&W...
Today, Ustad sister that is Su which I used to called her in short got to go sch. Her school is way out of KL. Her school is at Pahang, Kuantan. She had told me and share her life babout her school life. She not used to be away from home. There one thing I admire the childrn and youth there, that they are much stronger than what we are. Cause they got to live their own life and they are way far from home. They lived in boarding school. Their school life, wash your own clothe, eat, study and you live there. There are not much internet access. Their school has only up to 10 computer. But just imagine, everybody in the school wanna use the internet access. Not hundred but thousand of people in her school. So it is 6 am that I woke up and I got to wake Hariz up again... Hahaha... I disturb him till he woke up and got irritate by me. I called The Mr Jason Morning Time... So We get change and we got to live the house as early as 8.30am.
I like Ustad dad and Ustad Mum cause they are very funny people also I admire thier knowledge too. I have learn lot from them of Malaysia. Malaysia that you Singaporean did not know... So they tour me around and it gonna be a very long journey. At least 3 hours ride and to the destination, the distance is around 200 to 250km. That was about from Pasir Ris To Boon Lay, you travel 4 times. Ustad and Hariz feel sleepy and they sleep along the journey while me entertain the parents... Hahaha... Dont say I never sleep la, but take turn... We rest on of the pit stop along the mountain. It is petronas station while he top up the petrol. The pit stop is nice cause it up of the hill so it a little cooling and I bough some drink too. I try to buy drink that Singapore do not have...
Off we went up here we come Pahang. I think I went into deep sleep. But I dont sleep that long anyway... So after 3hours journey if I cant be mistaken. We have reach... It is time for Su to go. But we reach early cause the registration start at 2pm. But we were there like 12.30pm. So we went to the small village and to the supermarket. I bought sock cause I run out of it. Hahaha... It a school sock by the way... Than we went to have lunch. I ate, fried catfish (First Time), and some vegetable. The fried catfish is nice and I say, "Ikan Kuchain Gorean, Sedap ah" I used direct translation... They laugh at me and Hariz say wrong la but I say cat is kuchain right so as fish is ikan right... So, for that I called Ikan Kuchain since it is opposite in Melayu... Hariz cant be bother cause I irritate him again. Hahaha... So after a nice simple lunch it time to send Su off to school. I gave her a gift which is a bear. She is happy and I am glad. So we say good bye and this is their own personal family time where they encourage Su to study hard and dont worry time were flew by fast. A hug and a kiss is the most powerful tool in the world to show your love to your love one...
Ustad dad bring me to the kampong of those village life. I really have learn alot. There is this mini shop where they sell in bottle in red liquid. First, I thought it was rose syrup but it was a petrol for bike. Hahaha... We laugh... But next to it there is a wedding. Their wedding in the village stlye is way different from Singapore and KL wedding stlye. It seem like I am going back to the 90s... Also we found a rambutan tree. I went to taste and it sweet. Their rambutan in the village is different. A green rambutan is ripe but never turn red... It is nice and I am glad I get to try Kampong Rambutan.
So we have reack KL. After the 3 to 4 hours journey. We pass by the hindu temple that is in the cave. Later, Ustad dad wanna top up his petrol again. This time is not petrol, but NGV (Natural Gas Vehicle) These is the most cheapest gas and a clean gas too. Ustad dad car is modify such a way that he can top up fuel in two different section. NGV and petrol. When either one is finish, it will switch another resource. The NGV modify is cost up to RM4000 (SIN$2000). But in long term you get your money back and you really save alot on fuel. They put a gas tank behind Ustad car. A gas tank can fill up to 20 litres and up drive up to the distance of 200km. Also it cost RM12 (SIN$6) and it is cheap rather than petrol. So he top up and off to smart tunnel that we tour. A smart tunnel is underground and around in the main area ok KL. It prevent you from getting jam too. But sometime KL get flood for an hour or two. So these tunnel use it as a drainage system. The only one in the world who use it as a drain. That why they called it smart tunnel. So we exit another side of the city and went to see the commonwealth game. Where all the sport facilities is there such as ice hockey stadium and their biggest stadium in Malaysia that can hold up to 100,000 people. After view the commonwealth village we stop on the station and rest and have dinner there. Guess what? I and Hariz were waithing all these while and here it come which is very disappointing that Singapore long ago have but close down. That is A&W. Oh gosh, we were really happy lor... First come to first is the Root bear float where a scoop of ice cream is added. Next the curly fries... Oh gosh... It worth it after travelling long distance...
So we gonna fetch another Ustad brother of his which his school is just close to KLIA. (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) It is night time and it time and Usatd dad explain me all the train system in KL. There one that from KL direct to the KLIA. I realsie thir road system is one of the best in Asia. Yes, it is way better to Singapore. But because Malaysia just got lot of land area that all. Singapore might be quite challenging. So we have reach. The youngest brother is Khai. He is going to be a medic student in the future. He is one of the top boy who get into top school. But it is not easy for him cause many wanna get a scholarship to india to become a medic student. Wish him all the best dude... He is a nice guy and off we went to KLIA to jalan-jalan (outing) at the KLIA. Later, I and Hariz might consider to take a budget plane back to Singapore. I realise not all Singapore budget plane come to KLIA. Except, JetStar Asia. Which is expensive among the Budget area. So we watch at the obsevation area where plane took off at night and went back home. All I know I gain full of knowledge and better understanding of Malaysia...

KL Trip Day 2 - My Dear Malaysian Friends
The trip has just started and when I woke up, I cant believe it that I am in KL already. The fun has just begun. I am the first one to wake up always and Ustad and Hariz are still sleeping like a log. So today I am looking forward with my dear old friends in SMYC, the Malaysian side. We are meeting them at 1pm plus at Time Square. So I woke Hariz and Ustad up and we prepare and we ate lunch that the host family cooked. Young Jackfruit and ikan(Fish) in the yellow gravy. Hahaha... Something new and I am glad they cooked something that I never eat before. The family is funny and they are fun people. Sometime they trying to tease me and say Jason you want chilies... But they know I don't eat and I always say no thanks and we laugh together.
After lunch, Ustad dad which I always called him Pak Cik(uncle) transport us all the way down to KL Sentral. Before he took us there, we tour the Sunway Lagoon first. A theme park right in the central of the urban area that is KL. We thinking of going there but I know it is expensive. So we might be going there some other days since we got 8 days, two days down, five days to go... So we have reach KL Sentral and Pak Cik got something to do so off he went. We took a monorail and down at Iban if I cant be mistaken. It cost RM1.60. So the Monorail look a little bit slimmer than the Sentosa. But it is great cause it tour us around the KL. So we have reach, the time square and off down at Iban Stn...
Ustad went to called them to know where are they. They are at the main entrance of the Time Square. Christmas mood has strike me again cause the whole shopping mall is decorate with Christmas decoration. Down the escalator, a beautiful Christmas Tree (Check out my friendster to see the Photo) We have reach and I met a group of them. Let see if I can recalled their name with Ustad... Khafi, Hafiz, Mamal, Zila, Faizal, Naim And his brother, Syukri and Man... Yes! I think that all should not be more... is there any name missing... Hahaha... Send me a comment if I do. These people has not met other but I am glad we plan and we had a gathering at Time Square. We had a tea at the food court, time square and we chat. We wanted to go Cosmo world (Indoor Theme park at time square) for a ride. But I dont wanna go leh...
Instead we went to go for a News KTV at Imbi Plaza just next to Time Square. Hey, I didt know these people like to sing and some got talent but I will say la... It a secret... Hahaha... I like Isabella one of the old Malay song. I sang Uptown girl and Lucky. Hahaha... I like to sing too okay... Per hour is 30Rm if I cant be mistaken. After singing we got to go cause Hariz and Ustad wanna watch a movie that is The National Treasure, The Book Of Secret. We paid Rm11 (SIN$5.50). Actually we wanna watch some show at Imax Theater but so sad not much movie. We watch and you got to watch this movie. It is nice trust me... So after the movie, we took the Monorail back to KL Sentral and I top up my prepaid RM5... Haha... We bought the ticket for the Monorail and I gave the cashier all the coins that I have... Feel Paiseh leh... but I cant be bother... So we have reach KL sentral and waited for the bus. As usual Hariz like to disturb me, but it okay for me since he is so bored. We waited for the bus but it is so long so we decide to took taxi all the way back home for RM45. We have reach home.
Ustad dad wanna bring us to Putra Jaya, an area of all the government office and the Prime minister office too and the place he stayed too. We went to the Putra Jaya square, where there are 14 flags all in circle and a main flag in the middle as Malaysia flag. The 14 flags represent as a 14 state of Malaysia. After lunch, Ustad dad which I always called him Pak Cik(uncle) transport us all the way down to KL Sentral. Before he took us there, we tour the Sunway Lagoon first. A theme park right in the central of the urban area that is KL. We thinking of going there but I know it is expensive. So we might be going there some other days since we got 8 days, two days down, five days to go... So we have reach KL Sentral and Pak Cik got something to do so off he went. We took a monorail and down at Iban if I cant be mistaken. It cost RM1.60. So the Monorail look a little bit slimmer than the Sentosa. But it is great cause it tour us around the KL. So we have reach, the time square and off down at Iban Stn...
Ustad went to called them to know where are they. They are at the main entrance of the Time Square. Christmas mood has strike me again cause the whole shopping mall is decorate with Christmas decoration. Down the escalator, a beautiful Christmas Tree (Check out my friendster to see the Photo) We have reach and I met a group of them. Let see if I can recalled their name with Ustad... Khafi, Hafiz, Mamal, Zila, Faizal, Naim And his brother, Syukri and Man... Yes! I think that all should not be more... is there any name missing... Hahaha... Send me a comment if I do. These people has not met other but I am glad we plan and we had a gathering at Time Square. We had a tea at the food court, time square and we chat. We wanted to go Cosmo world (Indoor Theme park at time square) for a ride. But I dont wanna go leh...
Instead we went to go for a News KTV at Imbi Plaza just next to Time Square. Hey, I didt know these people like to sing and some got talent but I will say la... It a secret... Hahaha... I like Isabella one of the old Malay song. I sang Uptown girl and Lucky. Hahaha... I like to sing too okay... Per hour is 30Rm if I cant be mistaken. After singing we got to go cause Hariz and Ustad wanna watch a movie that is The National Treasure, The Book Of Secret. We paid Rm11 (SIN$5.50). Actually we wanna watch some show at Imax Theater but so sad not much movie. We watch and you got to watch this movie. It is nice trust me... So after the movie, we took the Monorail back to KL Sentral and I top up my prepaid RM5... Haha... We bought the ticket for the Monorail and I gave the cashier all the coins that I have... Feel Paiseh leh... but I cant be bother... So we have reach KL sentral and waited for the bus. As usual Hariz like to disturb me, but it okay for me since he is so bored. We waited for the bus but it is so long so we decide to took taxi all the way back home for RM45. We have reach home.
Ustad dad wanna bring us to Putra Jaya, an area of all the government office and the Prime minister office too and the place he stayed too. We went to the Putra Jaya square, where there are 14 flags all in circle and a main flag in the middle as Malaysia flag. The 14 flags represent as a 14 state of Malaysia.
